The kitchen, dining and entertainment areas effortlessly flow out to the wrap-around balcony evoking a sense of ease between play and practicality, with the pool and flat back lawn for the kids just beyond this, meaning this large family home is set to make the most of the location, seasons and provide for the young family’s needs as these evolve over time.

The kitchen, dining and entertainment areas effortlessly flow out to the wrap-around balcony evoking a sense of ease between play and practicality, with the pool and flat back lawn for the kids just beyond this, meaning this large family home is set to make the most of the location, seasons and provide for the young family’s needs as these evolve over time.

A beautifully positioned, north-facing home had potential waiting to be unleashed with a project that saw us focus on opening the residential space to as much sunlight and flow as possible, in collaboration with Luke Farrugia (architect). Large-scale oak flooring internally, matched with wrap-around decking to marry up the large entertaining chefs’ kitchen with the outdoor pool & garden courtyard meant that indoor-outdoor flow was maximised throughout the home, making this a haven for the family and their guests.

A project that oozes Venetian style and luxury in every detail – from the custom herringbone tiling, brass fixtures and finishes in the laundry and bathroom fit-outs, to the rumpus room flowing out to the deck and courtyard entertainment area fit with a BBQ and pizza oven for the sunnier months. Oak flooring features throughout, alongside sisal carpet, to ensure the needs for practicality but timelessness remain constant.

Leaning into the lush, native surrounds to inspire and create flow throughout the landscape design at this Newport residence, we worked with local architect, Laura Cook, to refresh the property whilst ensuring longevity and presence of style in the renovation. Concrete floor-tiling and Italian mosaics create character in the trio of revamped bathrooms, plus fresh, blackbutt flooring lines the home’s interior between the newly constructed front and rear deck areas – alongside an external stormwater drainage system – make this Northern Beaches space one which is practical and refined, yet, uncomplicated.
